Andrew’s 2002 Trailblazer received a new alternator on Monday for a cool low price of $560, so with that, and the new battery from last week, it should run like new for a while. 🤞

We had our monthly dive team meeting on Tuesday, it was cold and snowy.

Wednesday morning, while making the bed, I briefly thought about habits. I have an addictive personality, which I realize could be leveraged to build more beneficial ones. Making the bed is already an ingrained habit—it has to be done the same way every day, or my day feels off. Writing in my blog also seems to have become a routine. However, I’ve never intentionally harnessed this tendency to deliberately cultivate positive habits.

Speaking of habits, on 04/17/2023, after returning from a family vacation to Chicago, I quit drinking coffee. My exception to this is having a cup while on vacation, or as a treat every couple of months or so. I also have abstained from drinking alcohol since 12/26/2024. I’m not planning on completely quitting but am happy to be without for now. I mention all this because while attending the monthly dive team meeting last Tuesday, I spoke with Dan B about drinking more water every day. On Thursday, I decided to ditch the Coke and bring a water cooler to work. I also switched up my lunch from the usual meat sandwich and chips to a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, yogurt, and an Cosmic Crisp apple. My stomach felt better throughout the day.

On Wednesday night, Thursday morning we picked up another three inches of snow. And on Thursday night/Friday morning, I delt with a stomach virus/flu. I somewhat recovered by Friday night and was able to make it to MedDiver Class hosted by the Itasca County Dive Team on Saturday and Sunday.

Sunday evening, we watched Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. Lady Gaga performed a stunning rendition of Hold My Hand while wearing a huge hat in the French Quarter as a tribute to New Orleans. We noticed all of the performers in the television series Schitt’s Creek were featured in various funny commercials. Our favorite commercial was Martha Stewart doing the Glide Step Dance for Skechers. We gave the halftime show performed by Kendrick Lamar a 5 out of 10. Philadelphia dominated the game and went on to win.

End of blog. Thank you for reading!
