Friday was the opening night of GRHS Drama’s High School Musical. Andrew played Ryan Evans who is a twin brother to Sharpay Evens, played by Anja Beck. The cast did a wonderful job considering the short amount of time they had to prepare after the bands trip to Hawaii. Andrew and Anja’s dancing was amazing, the jazz squares, Russian splits, and the one-handed cartwheel were something else! Sunday will be the last high school theater performance for seniors Anja Beck & Riley Stoval, they will be missed.
Saturday, Andrew and I went to Caribou and I ended up with two extra-large dark roast coffees and Andrew got a medium Carmel Expresso Shaker. While enjoying our beverages, we stopped by my mother’s to help her lift a box containing a replacement stove that she has been having some trouble with. It was an absolutely beautiful spring day, warm, sunshine, and very little wind.
During the extended four-day weekend off (FSSM), I completed a Raspberry Pi network accessible storage (NAS) project. It was satisfying to use some old unused electronics for a useful purpose and to learn some things along the way. I eventually plan to store a backup copy of my blog on the NAS as well as in the cloud.
Sunday, Tiffany picked up a Keurig Coffee Maker for me. I have been buying a cup of coffee from various establishments lately which can be quite spendy. I tried the Keurig and the coffee tasted watery and stale. Tiffany returned it, and I then made the decision to go back to making coffee French press style at home. I had quit drinking French press because it contains chemicals called diterpenes (cafestol and kahweol) which can possibly raise LDL cholesterol.
There are two tree stumps in our yard by the road, they have been extremely difficult to remove. I tried to burn them out a year or two ago but that didn’t work. So, I spent the day digging around them in hopes of removing enough dirt that I can cut them out. As of right now, they are still there.
End of blog. Thank you for reading!
