On Monday, I made French press coffee to curb my daily purchasing habit. I made it with five normal scoops, and it was too weak, it needs five heaping, or six scoops. I noticed a stream of open water in front of our place, will be ice out soon.

Andrew said they announced the marching band show on Monday, it will be called, Between the Lines and feature Black suits, yellow shirts, and new props. I am excited for the up-coming marching band season, especially since Andrew made drum major!

On Sunday, Tiffany, Andrew, and I, drove up to my uncle-in-law David Sandstrom’s Diamond S Ranch for Easter. Upon arrival, we met David, Debra, Steve, Alex, and Sven K. Lindquist, Minnesota Senate Sergeants-at-Arms. Julie also showed up later for dinner.

Sven led us on a four-wheeler tour of David’s trails, they were quite muddy, so we went slow and stayed off some of them to prevent rutting them up too much. Afterwards, we practiced our marksmanship skills at David’s shooting range. Tiffany, Steve, and I, sent a few 9mm rounds downrange and managed to hit the target a few times. 🎯

For dinner, David made us a Turducken along with all the sides. During dinner, Julie told us about her trip to Bulgaria to hunt for the Black Grouse (capercaillie) in Bulgaria. She is currently the Chair for the Rough Grouse Society and was joined on her trip by other members of the society.

End of blog. Thank you for reading!
