Monday was Andrew’s first day of College at Minnesota North through the PSEO program. He said he knew a lot of fellow students and thought that he was going to enjoy the college.
Tuesday evening after work, I attended River Dive Rope Setup training put on by SAR at the Itasca County Fairgrounds. The Kootenay Highline System (KHS) was discussed, demonstrated, and practiced. The Petzl Kootenay P67 was used as the main pully of the system. We learned about knots, rope stuff bag, double ply webbing, z rig, and other related info.
I Missed the 10th Starship test flight, S37 & B16, but watched the whole event before bed. It was the most successful test of Block 2 Starship. It was incredible to see the deployment of the mock Starlink satellites! 🛰️ The landing in the Indian Ocean was also amazing to see, the heat shield looked brown.
Friday after work we left for a Thingelstad weekend! Before arriving at the Thingelstad residence, we stopped at the Big Bowl Chinese and Thai and had dinner. I had the Big Bowl’s Stir Fry Bar with Prime Beef, Shanghai Ginger Garlic, Pad Thai Noodles, and Chef’s Choice Stir Fry. Andrew had Pad Thai Tofu and Tiffany had Big Bowl’s Stir Fry Bar with Prime Beef, Shanghai Ginger Garlic Sauce, Cauliflower Rice, and Chef’s Choice Stir Fry.
Saturday morning, Andrew and Tiffany went to Schmidt Music in Bloomington and selected a badly needed new professional Buffet R13 Greenline Bb Clarinet with Silver Keys. Andrew stated the new clarinet transitions octaves smother and is a good upgrade. He later decided the clarinet shall be known as “Pickles.” 🎶
Later in the morning, we participated in the POAP 612 Challenge. We started on the Stone Arch Bridge then made our way to brunch at the Mill City Farmers Market. After eating, we drove around Minneapolis collecting various POAPs for the challenge. I was supper cool to see all the music bands stars ⭐️ on First Avenue, another location of a POAP.
