10/13/2025 to 10/19/2025

This was a week of lasts, anticipation and excitement for what’s to come.

Monday was the final test flight of a Block 2 Starship/Booster configuration from pad A at Starbase. Starship S38 and Booster 15-2 performed test flight eleven, meeting all their goals. The test flight looked flawless. I am excited to see some Raptor Three action in Block 3! 🚀

On Wednesday, Tiffany and I grabbed dinner at Bear Ridge Pizza before heading out to watch the Grand Rapids Marching Band perform their final halftime show of the season. The Parmesan bone-in wings were fantastic! The Drum Majors proudly wore their signature duck ties, and it was a bittersweet night for the seniors. Between the Lines is officially in the books for 2025, and we’re already excited to see what next year’s show will be for Andrew’s senior season. Meanwhile, the football team capped off the night with a dominating 63–6 win over Rock Ridge, securing the #1 seed in the Section 7AAAA playoffs.

Thursday, Andrew, Dan, and I, removed our SeaDoo, docks, and lifts out of the lake for the year. Andrew then left for a sleep over at the Reif for theater and then on Friday, he drove Dakira to Duluth to visit some friends at UMD.

On Sunday, we played our first game of Kubb on the Keating SouthYard Pitch, Team IK vs Team TAK, using the set gifted from the Thingelstad’s. Tiffany made Walleye à la Ritz, Acorn squash and Delicata Squash for dinner. After dinner, we watched The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown to get us in the Halloween spirt. 🎃

I have started to use .command shell scripts to automate a few tasks related to blog posting. Here is an example of what I use to automate a couple of tasks each week.

One of my favorite watch manufactures is Ulysse Nardin. Here is their YouTube channel.

My recent birthday reminded me of one of my favorite poems, “Do not go gentle into that good night” by Welsh poet Dylan Thomas. Along with many Syfy fans, I first heard this poem while watching the movie Interstellar.

End of blog. Thank you for reading!
