We grilled chicken marinated in Sweet Baby Rays on Monday; it was good but I still prefer Tubbs Spicy BQ sauce the best. Tuesday morning, I got to see the sunrise with Andrew before he left for the day. In between the Fall Equinox and the Winter Solstice, the sunrises are only visible from our SouthYard by the driveway due to the low solar declination. Later in the day, Andrew took the PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test), he said it was long but he was able to take breaks.
Wednesday, I stopped at Barely Reality and picked up a copy of Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War. After work, I burned an .iso copy and in short order was playing it on PCSX2 emulator. 🛩️. As of Sunday, I passed flight training that includes learning the Immelmann Turn, Split-S, and basic flight skills. I currently have a F5E Tiger II, A-6E Intruder, and a F/A22A Raptor in my hanger. My first impression of AC5 - there is a steep learning curve and can be a little frustrating at first. You literally are controlling all of the flight surfaces just like flying a real plane. I was looking for a PS2 game that felt like an actual flight simulator and so far, AC5 has checked all boxes.

Debra and Steve hosted a Halloween party at her place on Friday! 🎃👻 Tiffany was a Minnie Mouse, Andrew was a vampire, Debra was a witch 🧙♀️, and Steve and I were the Blue Marauder. ⚔️ Andrew handed out candy to ~ twenty-four kids. Tiffany and Andrew went to Bear Ridge Pizza and picked up a House Special that has Canadian Bacon, Pepperoni, Mushrooms, Onions, Green Peppers, Black and Green Olives, Sauerkraut, and Tiffany added Pineapple. I didn’t think it was going to be that great with sauerkraut but it is now my favorite pizza, everyone loved it!

Tiffany has a Super NES, model number SNS-001, it would be fun to extract the ROMs using something like the
Retrode and play with an emulator.
Getting into Ace Combat 5 remined me of the movie
The Last Starfighter. There is a game that was developed for The Last Starfighter available from
Rogue Synapse.
My brother,
Jamie Thingelstad, shared a couple of links that caught my attention in his
Weekly Thing issue number 331. The first link he shared was from
Evan Hahn regarding shell scripts. I have been busy using shell scripts lately and found some new uses cases within the link. The second link is a bunch of
really cool space logos. 🚀
End of blog. Thank you for reading!
