Monday, I started to feel better from the cold I had picked up. The last three days were rough but hopefully we are done with that. Tuesday night the northern lights were amazing.

Friday night we watched the movie Underwater. None of us thought it was a great movie, nothing memorable and wouldn’t recommend or watch again. And on Saturday night, we watched No Exit. It was fine.

Sunday, Tiffany found a nail in Andrew’s front right Trailblazer tire. Andrew, Tiffany, and I, promptly changed the tire. It was good experience for Andrew and a good thing Tiffany spotted it early so he didn’t end up trying to change it roadside. While we were changing the tire, I could still feel the after-effects of the cold I had picked up a couple of weeks ago.

🎮 Gaming

I spent a good deal of time attempting to pair a Steel Series Bluetooth Nimbus controller to a Raspberry Pi 4 for use with Retropie. While the controller works awesome with Mac OS running PCSX2 emulator, not so much for Retropie on Raspberry Pi 4. I gave up and ordered two Retroflag Classic USB controllers and one Logitech g F310 Gamepad.

I found this Open-Source Cartridge Reader (OSCR) along with the accompanying Github repo. I like the fact that this project is open source and sounds like the support for it is really good. It also seems to be in stock as opposed to the Retrode2 which is hard to find.

I have been slowly working my way through Ace Combat 5 Missions, currently stuck on mission 10.

🗄 POLICE FILES

Andrew was looking for a coat to wear during the week and drug out my Indianapolis Cowhide Leather Police Jacket from the closet which I’ve had since working as Chief of Police for the City of Echo. I’d still wear it but sadly it no longer fits me.
