POST license 13547 🚨, Jimmy John’s 🍪, Daylight Savings 🕑
Monday, I noticed my MN POST license (13547) status changed from inactive to active. 🚨
Continued FTO Phase 1 on Tuesday. I received a tour of the new Itasca County Jail. The control pods for each cell block reminded me of a starship bridge. One of the cell blocks is not currently in use; its cells and common area were dark, while the computers and electronics inside the control pod remained powered on, emanating a dim blue glow. Overall, I was impressed with the layout. The sally port and pre-booking areas are spacious, and the staff were extremely helpful. We concluded the tour by wondering around the courthouse to make sure all of my key FOBs worked.
After touring county facilities, the entire department met at the DRPD for Taser 10 certification class. ⚡️ We had Jimmy John’s subs for lunch. I tried a #7 Spicy East Coast Italian which had Jimmy Peppers in it, my new favorite. I also tried their Ghirardelli chocolate chip cookie which was delicious.
More FTO Phase 1 on Thursday, took a second tour of the courthouse and then visited dispatch which is located within the old arrival/departure building at the Grand Rapids airport. On Friday, Tiffany drove to Hibbing and had her tooth 🦷 extracted. That went well and I think she is feeling better. Sunday, daylight savings time began at 2am. 🕑
