U of M Tour, Dive Team, Light Salvage & Recovery, DRI DR1

On Monday, Andrew and Tiffany traveled down to the University of Minnesota, College of Liberal Arts, and toured the Hubbard School Of Journalism And Mass Communication. Andrew said he liked the atmosphere, public transportation, and he liked the size of the university. The U of M is also home to the Minnesota Marching Band! 🥁

Dive team meeting on Tuesday. I need to figure out how to make time for diving this summer. I will be attending Light Salvage & Recovery Class which will be August 14th through 16th. For Dive Rescue 1 (DR1) through Dive Rescue International, the recertification dive requirement is the following:

18 logged dives within the last 3 years
At least 6 of those dives must be in the last 12 months
You can count up to 1 pool dive per year
Recreational dives do NOT count (must be training or operational PSD dives)

As a reminder to myself, my DR1 expires on 10/31/2026. there is a 45 day grace period and Jon will get me set up for recertification in September/October.
