DRPD FT, Colorado 🚘

After retiring from the Canby PD, the following few years have been uncertain, but they allowed me to reset and get into position. This past week, opportunity presented itself—and I’m making the move to transition from part-time to full-time with the DRPD. Before this full-time opportunity became available, I was stuck in a metaphorical pair of “Golden Handcuffs.” I successfully returned to law enforcement but it didn’t provide critical benefits that my family needed, so I had to continue to keep my previous full-time job. Having no days off sucks - I am thrilled to know I will now be doing what I love to do with days off included.

The front end of my truck was hit by somebody within the last week or so. So, Friday Tiffany brought it to a couple of body shops for insurance estimates. The estimate for a few abrasions, scratches, busted panel clips, and a dent came to $3447.70. Yikes!

Otherwise, throughout the past week and going into next week, I’m just going to keep my head down and work. I put my two weeks-notice into Miners Inc. on Friday and my last day will be May 1st. My tentative start day for FT status with DRPD is May 4th.

End of blog. Thank you for reading!
